"Fantasy Time" with your teams or with your wife?

I sit here on the couch with my wireless connection.  Wife and kids are in bed.  Looking at 2nd place in two Hockey leagues.  Trying to figure out how to get to 1st.  I have signed up for 3 baseball leagues.  Am  I nuts?

I stay up too late researching players, looking at stats, making trades and talking smack.  Last summer I  even got caught looking at scores on my phone when we were looking at shrubs at the local garden center.  My wife was very interested in my opinion and I was looking to see what my fantasy players were doing.  I am quite the tightwad and play in free leagues - so the money is not an issue.  It is the time spent spending time with my computer instead of my family.  It's starting to bother me.

This fantasy thing has gotten out of hand (for me at least).  I have a good marriage.  If I spent half as much time working on my relationship with my wife as I do with my fantasy teams - I would have a great marriage.  It has become too much of a habit - her going to bed alone.  That never happened back in the day.  It is certainly  easier to do the fantasy on the computer than to do it here at home.  I think that is the point that I/we have missed - it's hard because it's worthwhile.  Can i say the same about Fantasy Sports???

I made a change.  i dropped one of my Baseball leagues.  I feel a little better now.  Only two teams to manage instead of three.  Gonna take some extra time with the family.  That's it for now.  I got a warm bed calling my name.
